Nerissa Vaughan - Independent Member
Nerissa is a graduate of Birmingham University, undertaking her BA and MSc degrees there.
A career NHS manager, she joined the NHS through the National General Management Training scheme in 1991. She trained at Birmingham Women's Hospital, taking up a number of roles in the city following completion, including commissioning roles at Birmingham Health Authority and hospital management roles in City Hospital.
She continued to work in the West Midlands until 2003 and then took up her first Board appointment in Yorkshire. She has subsequently worked in NHS Chief Executive roles since 2008, running hospital and community services.
She joined NHS Birmingham and Solihull CCG's Governing Body as an Independent Member in April 2020.
