Qulsom Fazil - Independent Member

Qulsom FazilQulsom is a lecturer in disability studies and behavioural science in the College of Medical and Dental Sciences at the University of Birmingham. In addition to that role, Qulsom was an external examiner for a three-year term at St Angela's College, National University of Ireland in Galway for its BA in disability and health programme.

She has a background as a social psychologist and was also a non-executive director of the former Birmingham East and North Primary Care Trust from 2002-12 before becoming a lay advisor to Solihull CCG in 2013.

Given her background, experience and local knowledge, Qulsom supports the CCG with public and patient engagement, is chair of the CCG’s Primary Care Committee and also the Birmingham and Solihull PPG Forum.
